If fuel wasn't so damned expensive I'd run the boat up there to hang out with ya, Brett.

You guys are certainly welcome to come out and camp. You'd fit right in boat or no boat. I bet it would take a LOT of fuel to go that far up lake. Unfortunately, I'm hearing fuel may spike again this summer. Let's hope not.

I enjoy select soccer and coaching...  But it eats up so much time, I get few opportunities to take the truck out.

Did you hear that violin playing a sad song in the background?

Might be able to get there for Sunday if you folks are going to be on the trails through that day, or are you going to be focusing on the kids and 4-wheeling?  No guarantee I can get there, so please don't alter any plans on my account.

Uh, yeah. Our marina is at Mile 7 and Muleshoe is around 43 I believe. At our cruise speed of 17knots it'd be just over a 2 hour cruise up. At cruise we burn 8-10gph. Say about 25 gallons up and 25 gallons home accounting for side trips. 50gallons X about $4/gallon. Ouch.
We could make it easily with our 110 gallon tanks, but damn. If we weren't going to Japan in 3 weeks I'd have said yes.

Brett,

Muleshoe is 20 minutes or so from my house.  If your just hanging out I might be convinced to bring you a beer after the tech day...

Are y'all still planning on going up to hidden falls tomorrow? When are yall meeting up at the park?

Edit: I'm leaving houston at around 10am, so figure I'd be at the park at 1:30ish. I'm in the black lr3 with roof rack and grille guard if you see me on the trail.
