You guys are certainly welcome to come out and camp. You'd fit right in boat or no boat. I bet it would take a LOT of fuel to go that far up lake. Unfortunately, I'm hearing fuel may spike again this summer. Let's hope not. Brett Naquin in San Antonio, TX. '91 Range Rover Classic

Did you hear that violin playing a sad song in the background? Might be able to get there for Sunday if you folks are going to be on the trails through that day, or are you going to be focusing on the kids and 4-wheeling? No guarantee I can get there, so please don't alter any plans on my account. [ Edited Thu Mar 11 2010, 11:00AM ] Russell "You can't fix stupid." 04 DII SE

At our cruise speed of 17knots it'd be just over a 2 hour cruise up. At cruise we burn 8-10gph. Say about 25 gallons up and 25 gallons home accounting for side trips. 50gallons X about $4/gallon. Ouch. We could make it easily with our 110 gallon tanks, but damn. If we weren't going to Japan in 3 weeks I'd have said yes. If your just hanging out I might be convinced to bring you a beer after the tech day... Edit: I'm leaving houston at around 10am, so figure I'd be at the park at 1:30ish. I'm in the black lr3 with roof rack and grille guard if you see me on the trail.
